Like the rain I am you somehow showed me
Always living in a cloud, you can hear me in the winds
Sharing my raindrops with a dry and needy ground
At times I'm a driving rain, then gentle is my sound
In a world able to look, but failing to really see
Like the rain I AM

Like the rain I am you somehow showed me
Travel down the mountaintops to the rivers that push me to the sea
Hot rain near the ocean's mouth in the summertime I AM
Raining down on a place never aware of their thirst

Like the rain I AM

Like the rain you are, you somehow showed me
A lantern to my path, you came and led me when I could not see
In this world only lifeless without the rain
Let rivers of living waters flow, come drink and be free

Like the rain I AM falling warm on the earth's rich meadows
Like the rain you are, freshness in the air when you appear
