OLD FRIENDS
By: Simon and Garfunkel

Old friends, old friends,
Sat on their parkbench like bookends
A newspaper blown through the grass
Falls on the round toes
of the high shoes of the old friends

Old friends, winter companions, the old men
Lost in their overcoats, waiting for the sunset
The sounds of the city sifting through trees
Settles like dust on the shoulders of the old friends

Can you imagine us years from today,
Sharing a parkbench quietly
How terribly strange to be seventy

Old friends, memory brushes the same years,
Silently sharing the same fears

BOOKENDS
BY: Simon and Garfunkel

Time it was and what a time it was it was,
A time of innocence, a time of confidences,
Long ago It must be, I have a photograph
Preserve your memories, they're all that's left you

DANGLING CONVERSATION
BY: Simon and Garfunkel

In the dangling conversation
And the superficial sighs,
Are the borders of our lives.

And you read your Emily Dickinson,
And I my Robert Frost,
And we note our place with bookmarkers
That measure what we've lost.
Like a poem poorly written
We are verses out of rhythm,
Couplets out of rhyme,
In syncopated time
Lost in the dangling conversation
And the superficial sighs,
Are the borders of our lives.

Yes, we speak of things that matter,
With words that must be said,
"Can analysis be worthwhile?"
"Is the theater really dead?"
And how the room is softly faded
And I only kiss your shadow,
I cannot feel your hand,
You're a stranger now unto me
Lost in the dangling conversation.
And the superficial sighs,
In the borders of our lives.

Where Are You Going?
By: Dave Matthews

Where are you going, with your long face pulling down?
Don’t hide away, like an ocean
But you can’t see, but you can smell
And the sound of the waves crash down

I am no superman
I have no answers for you
I am no hero, oh that’s for sure
But I do know one thing for sure
Is where you are, is where I belong
I do know, where you go, is where I want to be

Where are you going, where do you go?
Are you looking for answers, to questions under the stars?
If along the way you are growing weary,
you can rest with me until a brighter day
It’s okay, where are you going, where do you go?

I am no superman
I have no answers for you
I am no hero, oh that’s for sure
But I do know one thing for sure
Is where you are, is where I belong
I do know, where you go, is where I want to be

Where are you going, where do you go?
Are you looking for answers, where do you go?

Where are you going?
Where do you go?
Let’s go.

RETROFLECTIVE
BY: Nancy G "firefly"

I am the one always looking back
To the feelings deep inside that I now lack
And they're falling like a new spring rain
So into my memories I fly again and again

I've been down this road many times before
There's the path, here's the key to the door
I see a book opened up to a page on the floor
Saying, "The biggest regret is I didn't hold you more"

Retroflective am I
Into my dreams I do fly
Til my heart stops and the day I die
Retroflective am I

You are my every, every sunrise
All the colors of your eyes
And the moon is out tonight
I remember you held me tight
But I'm sitting alone in the dark
The candles glow
The watermark
Retroflective am I
Into my memories I do fly
Come fly with me
Come fly with me
Retroflective am I
