SOMETIMES I FEEL LIKE

Sometimes I feel like
Dry ground just waiting for rain to help push up my grasses and flowers
Sometimes I feel like
A dry creek just waiting for raindrops to turn me into a rushing river
Sometimes I feel like
The gray sky with no rain clouds in the atmosphere
Sometimes I feel like
I am hot desert sand, thirsty and bone dry
Sometimes I feel like
A waterfall that has been forgotten and is silent and still

Then I think of
The promises of blessings from my Creator
Then I think of
These moments and remember sometimes I must feel dry within
Then I think of
How I will appreciate the wet rain of the Spirit
Then I think of
The new life it will bring to a dusty and barren land
Then I think of
My life as being a journey through valleys and mountains

It is all about
Waiting on the Lord for the rain
It is all about
Lifting up my voice with heavenly praises
It is all about
Watching and having faith for the blessings to pour down
It is all about
The fact that time gracefully goes on into eternity
It is all about
Being still and seeking and finding the face of God

Sometimes I feel like
All the words my soul tries to speak, but I become speechless
Then I think of
My sojourn and the promises of brilliant spring meadows
It is all about
Holy rain pouring down on me as I lift up my hands to the heavens

Sometimes I feel like
I am to lie down in green pastures
Then I think of
The Lord being my Shepherd and I shall not want
It is all about
God restoring my soul as my guide on this path of righteousness

Sometimes I feel like
Walking by the still waters and seeking His name’s sake
Then I think of
Not fearing any evil because His rod and staff comfort me
It is all about
That table prepared for me in the presence of my enemies

Sometimes I feel like
My head is anointed with oil and my cup overflows
Then I think of
Goodness and love following me all the days of my life
It is all about
How I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever

Somehow She Knew

By: David Crosby and Craig Doerge

As the room slid into focus and he woke up
With room service at the door
And he wondered why he never spoke up
About all of that fear before

It was standing just an inch behind him
A shadow stalking by his side
A thing he was afraid would find him
And wash him away in the ti

And somehow she knew why I was crying
She knew just which fears I had not faced
And in her eyes I could see where I was lying to myself
And a path that she gently traced

To where the man in the movie said
Is it all right
If miss her tonight
And the man felt just like me

They say a wolf in a trap will chew off his own leg
I guess I did the same
It's what you do with a thing you can't handle
A picture you just can't frame

And from somewhere deep in that movie
She opened a door in my chest
And delicately took out a death
That had never been laid to rest

And somehow she knew why I was crying
She knew just which fears I had not faced
And in her eyes I could see where I was lying to myself
And a path that she gently traced

To where the man in the movie said
Is it all right
If I miss her tonight
And the man felt just like meIs it all right
If I miss her tonight
And that man felt just like me

David Crosby blows my mind and soul. I can't say anymore. He is my favorite musical artist in the universe. His sound makes my soul feel better. His harmonies sound like one million angels..

IN MEMORY OF JAMES PHILLIP THOMPSON OF AMARILLO
DEDICATED TO KAREN THOMPSON
THEY WERE SURELY THE LOVES OF EACH OTHER'S LIVES
MAY PHILLIP REST IN PEACE IN THE ARMS OF JESUS

INTO A BRIGHTER DAY

ON THE OUTSIDE, I’M LOOKING IN
FROM THE INSIDE, YOUR’E LOOKING OUT
AND YOUR WORLD HAS TURNED INTO SHADES OF GREY
YOU DON’T WANT TO WALK THROUGH ANOTHER DAY
INTO A BRIGHTER DAY

NO ONE CAN SEE INSIDE YOUR EYES
FROM THE DEPTH OF YOUR SOUL YOUR SORROW LIES
JUST YESTERDAY YOUR SKIES WERE BLUE
HIS HEART IN YOUR HANDS, HE’S LOVING YOU
INTO A BRIGHTER DAY

INTO ANOTHER DAY
WHEN ALL THE RAIN WILL WASH AWAY
THEN THE WHISPERING WIND WILL GENTLY SAY
PEACE TO YOU
INTO A BRIGHTER DAY

SOMETIMES STORMS COME AND WE LOSE OUR WAY
SO MANY WORDS WE WANTED TO SAY
IF ONLY THE SUN WOULD MELT AWAY
ALL THE TEARS AND FEARS
INTO A BRIGHTER DAY

MAY TOMORROW SUNRISE LIGHTEN YOUR LOAD
MAY YOU FIND THE LONG AND WINDING ROAD
THAT LEADS YOU THROUGH THE DARKEST NIGHT
UPON THE WINGS OF EAGLES TAKE YOUR FLIGHT
INTO A BRIGHTER DAy

INTO ANOTHER DAY
WHEN ALL THE RAIN WILL WASH AWAY
THEN THE WHISPERING WIND WILL GENTLY SAY
PEACE TO YOU
INTO A BRIGHTER DAY

I WILL BE HERE FOR YOU WHEN YOU FALL
I'LL COME RUNNING WHEN YOU CALL
HOLD YOU UNTIL YOU FEEL ALRIGHT
FRIEND, I’LL CARRY YOU WITH ALL MY MIGHT
INTO A BRIGHTER DAY
Written by Nancy G. Brundrett
Dedicated to Karen Thompson, one of my oldest and best friends,
for the sudden loss of the love of her life , Phillip, at age 52.
May Phillip rest in peace and touch God's throne
May Karen be comforted in this time of terrible grief
May she conquer every hill
victoriously with the strength of Jesus inside her soul
May they one day meet again in eternity
In the name of Jesus I pray this prayer for my friend,
NGB

In My Life
Written by: Lennon and McCartney

There are places I remember
all my life,
though some have changed.
Some forever, not for better.
And some have gone, and some remain.
All these places have their moments
with lovers and friends
I still can't recall.
Some are dead and some are living.
In my life
I love them all.
But of all these friends and lovers,
there is no one compares with you.
And these memories lose their meaning
when I think of love as something new.
Though I know I'll never ever lose affection
for people and things that went before,
I know I'll often stop and think about them.
In my life I loved you more.
Though I know I'll never ever lose affection
for people and things that went before,
I know I'll often stop and think of them.
But in my life I loved you more.
I love you more.
I love you more.
