I am a songwriter and a poet. I also pick up my guitar and sing the sounds of my heart.
I am working on a couple of new songs or poems. Here is one of my rough drafts. These words will become an alternative folk song. You can listen to some of my "poem" songs at
www.nancy-heartmusic.com

I SEE YOU

I SEE YOU IN EVERYTHING I DO
I FIND YOU UPON THE OCEAN'S BLUE
IN THE MORNING, IN OUR EYES
ARE ALL THE COLORS OF A SUNRISE
I SEE YOU

I SEE YOU OVER AND OVER
I FIND YOU IN THE WIND UPON THE CLOVER
THEN THE SUN SETS IN THE WEST
THAT'S WHEN I KNOW I LOVE YOU BEST
I SEE YOU

I SEE YOU IN THE FALLING STARS I TRACE
I FIND YOU WITH THE MOONLIGHT ON YOUR FACE
THEN I REACH FOR YOUR HAND AGAIN
YOU ALWAYS WARM MY HEART MY FRIEND
I SEE YOU

HERE COMES ANOTHER DAY
JUST WONDER IF YOU'LL PASS MY WAY
TO HOLD ME WITH YOUR LOVE SO FREE
WON'T YOU LET ME KNOW YOU'RE THINKING OF ME?
I SEE YOU

TIMES AND CHOICES HAVE BEEN SO CRUEL
THIS LOVE I HAVE HAS BROKEN EVERY RULE
BUT I SEE YOU EVERYWHERE I GO
I FIND YOU AND I NEED TO KNOW
I SEE YOU

DO YOU SEE ME, CAN YOU FIND ME?
WOULD YOU HOLD ME IF YOU HAD THE TIME?
DO YOU WANT ME, DO YOU LOVE ME?
COULD YOU EVER AGAIN BE MINE?
I SEE YOU

I SEE YOU
IN A SUNRISE
I FIND YOU
WITH THE MORNING IN YOUR EYES
I SEE YOU
IN THE LIGHT OF THE FALLING STARS I TRACE
I FIND YOU
EVERY SECOND, MINUTE AND HOUR I LONG FOR YOUR EMBRACE
I ONLY SEE YOU

IN EVERY CANYON I ECHO YOUR NAME
YOUR SPIRIT PULLS ME, I'LL NEVER BE THE SAME
CAN YOU FORGIVE ME FOR ALL THE PAIN
ALL THAT'S LEFT IS ALL THIS RAIN
I SEE YOU

YOU COME AND GO LIKE THE WIND IN MY SOUL
WITH YOUR ABSENCE MY WINTERS ARE COLD
BUT I STILL SEE YOU, STILL FIND YOU
IN EVERYTHING I DO AND EVERYWHERE I GO
I SEE YOU

*NEXT POEM SOON TO BE A SONG I'LL POST TOMORROW

PEACE TO YOU...AND MAY THE LOVE YOU LONG FOR BE
EVER PRESENT IN YOUR HEART AND IN YOUR WORLD...

SHINE IT ON ME
BY: JIMMY WEBB

YOU'RE STILL THE BEST PERSON I EVER KNEW
THERE WERE A THOUSAND LITTLE THINGS THAT I WAS ALWAYS
JUST ABOUT TO SAY TO YOU
BUT NOW THAT TIME,
IT GROWS SHORTER FOR THE SPEECHES
JUST LET ME LEAVE YOU WITH A LINE
IT MIGHT HELP YOU PASS THE TIME SOMETIMES
YOU MIGHT AS WELL SMILE
AIN'T NO TEARS GONNA DROWN THE RAIN
KEEPS ON FALLIN'
YOU MIGHT AS WELL SMILE
AIN'T NO PAIN GONNA CHANGE WHAT STILL REMAINS
YOU MIGHT AS WELL REGAIN, BABE
YOUR LOST SERENITY, SERENITY
THEN LET IT SHINE ON ME

I REMEMBER TIMES WHEN YOU HELD ME
YOU'D FREEZE MY SPINE
WE WERE LOOKIN' IN THE MIRROR AT THE TIME
I GOT CONFUSED AND I THOUGHT YOUR EYES WERE MINE
BUT NOW THAT TIME
IT GROWS SHORTER FOR THE SECRETS
JUST LET ME LEAVE YOU WITH SOME TRUTH
IT MIGHT HELP YOU HOLD ON TO YOUR YOUTH, SOMETIMES
YOU MIGHT AS WELL SMILE
AIN'T NO TEARS GONNA DROWN THE RAIN
KEEPS ON FALLIN'
YOU MIGHT AS WELL SMILE
AIN'T NO PAIN GONNA CHANGE WHAT STILL REMAINS
YOU MIGHT AS WELL MAINTAIN, BABE
PROTECT YOUR SANITY, YOUR SANITY
THEN LET IT SHINE ON ME
SHINE IT ON ME
SHINE IT ON ME
SHINE IT ON ME

--------
I JUST GOT UP THIS MORNING AND LOOKED IN AN OLD SONG BOOK OF JIMMY WEBB. IF YOU ARE OLD ENOUGH TO REMEMBER, HE WROTE "MacARTHUR PARK" A POPULAR SONG IN THE 70'S SUNG BY RICHARD HARRIS THE ACTOR.

I AM DRAWN TO THE LYRICS OF THE 60'S AND 70'S. I ENJOY READING THE WORDS TO JACKSON BROWNE'S SONGS AS WELL. MAYBE I WILL POST SOME OF THEM IN ANOTHER SESSION.

MAY THE LIGHT OF THE NORTH STAR SHINE ON YOU AND IN YOU THIS SEASON OF
CHRISTMAS.

BLESSINGS TO YOU,

TRUE LOVE NEVER DIES, IT RESTS WITHIN THIS VINE"

I love the rain and it is raining now down here in South
Texas. I thought about some love songs that Elton John did years back. I am posting these beautiful
words at my journal. I write and perform heart music. If you would like to give a listen to a song or read one of my poems go to my site...:-)

Love Song

LYRICS Music and lyrics by leslie duncan
Available on the album tumbleweed connection

The words I have to say
May well be simple but they’re true
Until you give your love
There’s nothing more that we can do
Love is the opening door
Love is what we came here for
No one could offer you more
Do you know what I mean
Have your eyes really seen
You say it’s very hard
To leave behind the life we knew
But there’s no other way
And now it’s really up to you
Love is the key we must turn
Truth is the flame we must burn
Freedom the lesson we must learn
Do you know what I mean
Have your eyes really seen

Friends
By Elton John and Bernie Taulpin

I hope the day will be a lighter highway
For friends are found on every road
Can you ever think of any better way
For the lost and weary travellers to go

Making friends for the world to see
Let the people know you got what you need
With a friend at hand you will see the light
If your friends are there then everything's all right

It seems to me a crime that we should age
These fragile times should never slip us by
A time you never can or shall erase
As friends together watch their childhood fly

*We all need to alway remember how precious friends are.
We should hold their hearts close and pray for them
daily....Friends are gifts from God...
